Welcome to Easy Food Dehydrating! Here you’ll uncover the incredible art of how to dehydrate food to remove moisture from your favorite fruit, vegetables, meats, and seafood. Simply click their images below for full details.
Here's a short list of the basics: An electric dehydrator such as a Nesco or an Excalibur Dehydrator and a food vacuum sealer like my FoodSaver Vacuum Sealer.
For long-term storage, you must use Oxygen Absorbers to help protect your dehydrated goodies because they slow oxidation (where things turn brown) and regulate moisture (because they absorb it) which inhibits mold. Plus they take care of pesky pests. (Try saying that five times fast).
Use a food vacuum sealer to draw the air out of the bags, plus they do a fantastic job of sealing the bag tight... air tight, that is!
Learn all about food dehydrating via my options below: Paperback, or eBook. If you prefer to listen while doing other things, or just want to sit back with your feet up, choose my Audiobook. Heck, get all three! Just kidding.
